Dekadent Live! / 1. 7. 2010
After a good year of creatuve hiatus, we are about to return on the stages. We are confirmed as co-headliners at the first Slovenian Rock Hard Festival on 30th of July. Among others, we will share our stage with local pioneers Laibach and up-coming sympho-goth metallers Aperion. The Rock Hard festival will take place in Ljutomer, Slovenia as a part of the annual Grossmann film event.
We are also confirmed at this year's Haliaetum Open Air. More details in the following days. Stay tuned!

Album finished / 21. 6. 2010
It is a real pleasure to announce the completion of our third full length effort. We had a long and a bumpy ride since The Deliverance of the Fall, with several line-up changes and recording sessions full of delays. However, we made it through. Our new album will be released before the dawn of autumn 2010, possibly this summer. We want to make sure we give every one of you a special live treat, so expect us live and alive! Still breathing / 8. 3. 2010
Thanks to all of you who have been writing to our inbox for the past few months. I apologize for not answering to every one of you. Things really got busy lately, forcing me to put the new album on hold. As mentioned in the previous post, the album is nearly finished, only the final touches are to be done. Speaking of that matter, I should note that Dekadent is most probably going fully independent, launching our own publishing service. It is still early to talk about that matter though.

Album update pt.2 / 7. 9. 2009
Hey, it has been a while since the last update. You might imagine we've been busy with our new album quite a lot recently. All the tracks have finally been recorded, with files waiting to go through final mixing procedure. We are fairly satisfied with overall sound and we are confident in stating that this will be the best Dekadent album to date. The tracklist is merely finished, although we will wait a while before making a public notice on that matter. We have a dozen songs waiting to be mixed and mastered, while we will keep ourselves busy dong a cover song for a new tribute album compilation. More on that and song titles soon.

Album update /21. 3. 2009
As it has already been mentioned, Dekadent took a creative time off in order to take preparations on the new album. We have finally set the recording dates in studio and we plan to work hard throughout the coming two months. Most of the demos are finished completely, however we plan to work extensively on arrangements while in studio.
All that can be said for now is that the concepts are really high-yielding and seem to offer a highly versatile and interesting album. The songs are very rich and powerful, yet in the meantime they showcase a clear development in musical style that proves to be uniquely Dekadent. Hopefully, there will be a chance to make a short studio report soon in order to keep you updated.

General news update /2. 1. 2009
With successful headline performance at the annual Heavy New Year festival, we have concluded our live season until further notice. At the time of this live hiatus, we were forced to deal with yet another drastic change within the line-up. Our drummer Andraž has decided to quit Dekadent in order to pursue a stable career in sports. His input was of great importance and we wish to express gratitude for his passion, devotion and companionship. It was a very shocking news for all of us, however we understand and support his choice and wish him good luck and success as a professional sportsman and tutor.

However ...
... We already have great news concerning the same matter Dekadent already gained a recruitment that will not only work as a refill, but will enable to improve our live and studio performances to a greater degree. Ladies & Gentlemen, please welcome our latest confederate decadent limb: Garghuf! After our long lasting friendship we have immediately thought of him as an ultimate choice. Garghuf, who currently offers his services for Norwegian black metal kings Gorgoroth and Italian hyper-blasters Nefarium, has always been a dedicated fan and a friend of Dekadent. He truly understands the spirit and the meaning of our art, hence he was offered a permanent slot as a new Dekadent drummer. He accepted it with great enthusiasm and ensured Dekadent is now his top priority!
Garghuf will join the rest of the crew at the studio sessions that will take place in the following weeks. More on that subject soon!

Dekadent headlining Heavy New Year 2008 /21. 12. 2008
A culminating event will take place next Saturday on 27th of December. Six prominent Slovenian metal bands will perform at a well known club in Ljubljana, KUD France Prešeren. Dekadent will take the reverent position as the headliner of the event. As we tend to make this appearance our final for the next few months, we have prepared a surprise for our fans. Important news /13. 10. 2008
Dekadent went through a swift yet not a tentative change in the recent times. The band parted ways with now former bassist Andrej Bohnec. Needless to say, the parting was on a friendly basis and both sides agreed upon the decision that was being made. To forget this grey news more easily, we are already introducing our new bass guitar player - Naur (ex-Sinbolic/Neurotech), whom the band considers as the best possible replacement. Naur's skillful playing, experience and eager spirit will definitely benifit Dekadent on the way of becoming an even better artistic figure. Expect to see Naur live with Dekadent for the first time on 23rd of October, when Dekadent will headline a Metal Planet event in Ljubljana.

MetalFest Kranj report /4. 10. 2008
Last night performance was quite successful. As some of you have already heard, we have found a temporary replacement for this very event. Our beloved drummer was unable to attend the festival due to his appearance at the kayak world championship. Garghuf (Mrtva Goša/Gorgoroth), a respected friend of Dekadent helped us out with filling his place. We would like to thank him sincerely for his input and stunning performance. At the same time we wish a good luck in the following weeks as he heads back to Norway.

Performing at 1st Annual Haliaetum Open Air /31. 5. 2008
It is now confirmed that Dekadent will honor the first coastal metal festival on local ground. Haliaetum Open Air 08 is a summer metal haven at Slovenian coastline in Izola, where numerous bands from the whole nation and abroad will gather to celebrate this great summer's eve. The festival will take place on 19th and 20th of July, while Dekadent will perform on the last date mentioned. Among many respected bands, Dekadent will appear as headliners on Sunday night, on 20. 7. 2008! Make sure you get there!

Live in Österreich /18. 5. 2008
It is confirmed that Dekadent will appear as guests on a black metal fest in Graz, Austria. This marks our very first live appearance in Austria, hence a lot of excitement is in the air. We will appear onstage along with fellow black metallers Throne of Catharsis (NOR), Thundra (NOR) and Sanguis (A). More info here.

Dekadent feature in Metal Maniacs /17. 5. 2008
One of the world's biggest metal magazines Metal Maniacs published a feature article on Dekadent in their latest issue. The article is based on their review of Dekadent's latest effort The Deliverance of the Fall as well as on the interview Metal Maniacs' reporter Chris Dick made with Artur Felicijan. Koncert ob obletnici /16. 2. 2008
Hvala vsem, ki ste si vzeli svoj čas za obisk včerajšnjega eventa v Gali Hali. Bilo je neprecenljivo občutiti vašo energijo in podporo, ki ste jo namenili skupini Dekadent. Zahvale gredo tudi prijateljem z obale Grimoir, ki so otvorili večer v prvovrstnem duhu. Obenem se zahvaljujemo bratom s Slovaške, Demonic Chorals, ki so z navdušenjem sprejeli povabilo in prevzeli svojo vlogo posebnega gosta na eventu. Hvala tudi SMK za vso podporo pri koncertu!

Dekadent back on-stage! /4. 2. 2008
Finally, after 6 months we are returning to perform live! It took us a while, but we were preparing for the release and the performance itself. We will perform on 15th of February in Gala Hala, Metelkova (Ljubljana), which is exactly one year since we first stepped in front of the live audience.
On the next coming Friday, we will have the honour to perform with our labelmates Demonic Chorals and our Slovenian brothers Grimoir. We will present some of the material from our debut, but mainly the songs from our latest album "The Deliverance of the Fall". We have prepared a special afterparty and contest for our fans! You better come, for it will be a night to remember!!!

V petek, 1. februarja, bo v izolskem KIŠD-ju predstavitveni screening filma oz. videa "The Deliverance of the Fall". Začetek predvajanja je predviden ob 21. uri. Ker je album že v prodaji, bo na kraju dogodka veljala promocijska cena. Vljudno vabljeni!

Kinodvor premiera / 17. 1. 2008
Ker je povpraševanje po videnju premiere "The Deliverance of the Fall" že precej veliko, je ljubljanska kinoteka Kinodvor podaljšala termin premiernega predvajanja. Tako bo po prvi predstavi sledila še ena, za vse tiste, ki prve ne bodo mogli ali ujeti, si pridobiti prostega sedeža ali pa jo boste preprosto želeli še enkrat videti. Druga predstava bo torej nekaj minut po deveti uri zvečer, prva pa ob 20h in 10 minut. Kot že rečeno, bodo na kraju dogodka na prodaj plošče skupine Dekadent, tako debut kot novi album, obenem pa bo na voljo tudi merchandise.

Dodatno obvestilo:
V izogib nesporazumom sporočamo, da so bile vse prispele rezervacije zabeležene. Kart ne dobite na dom, prejmete jih na kraju dogodka. Vaše ime potrebujemo v primeru prevelike gneče, na podlagi števila prijav pa smo prav tako omogočili dvojno predvajanje. Rezervacije so še vedno na voljo do preklica.

Trailer problem / 28. 11. 2007
We've been informed that during the last couple of weeks there were problems with downloading the trailer for "The Deliverance of the Fall". It is still not known what was wrong exactly, but until we fix the problem, there is a new working Quicktime version available. Soon, a larger version (for other media players as well) will be uploaded. We apologize for inconvenience!

Official release date for "The Deliverance of the Fall" / 21. 11. 2007
The album is already made and the first promotional copies just shipped. Yet, a public release is now set for January 25, 2008. Pentacle Music and Al!ve Distribution will however accept preorders very soon.

Also, Dekadent is ready to move into their new rehearsing location, which means new gigs are on the way!

The Deliverance of the Fall draws near / 11. 9. 2007
Yes, the release of our new full-length (double) album is really close now, as it is official to come out by this November. The audio part of the album is completely finished and currently it only has to go through the last finalizing procedures. We hope to conclude with the movie part in the next couple of weeks or sooner. In the meantime, you may enjoy watching the new official Trailer for "The Deliverance of the Fall" movie to get the feel of how the whole thing will look like.

Rechedule for Friday night at MMOA 07 / 8. 8. 2007
Dekadent's performance on Friday night has been rescheduled. It has been published, that the band's appearance would be on Friday night at 8.15 PM, but since Dekadent's performance in daylight is out of the question, they have been granted a more suitable slot, as the closing act for the Friday night, performing after The Stone and Dying Fetus. Dekadent at Ex-YU Rocks 2007 Festival in Banja Luka / 14. 7. 2007
We are now confirmed to appear at one of this year's biggest alternative music festivals in the area - Ex-YU Rocks! The festival continues it's annual tradition in Bosnia's Banja Luka for more than a decade, presenting major alternative bands from all over the ex-Yugoslav republics, as well as presenting bands and DJs from around the Europe.
The festival is extremely well visited as there is no entry-fee and the location offers free camping and a whole weekend of wild partying.

Dekadent will represent Slovenia and metal by appearing on the main stage on 28th of July, on a Saturday night at around 21.30.

Music Section Updated / 4. 6. 2007
"The Deliverance of the Fall" has been added to the Music section. You may download a short teaser for the upcoming Dekadent movie, which will be released in late 2007. The next Dekadent release will include two discs, one featuring a DVD movie "The Deliverance of the Fall", while the other disc will contain the music that was made for the movie. More info on our upcoming release soon.

Dekadent Headlining Metal up your Ass!!! event in Kranj / 28. 5. 2007
At the closing event of Metal evenings in Downtown Rock Bar on 16. 6. 2007, Dekadent will headline the Metal up your Ass!!! concert with Infidia, Penitenziagite and Deimos as their support. Performing at this year's Metal Mania Open Air / 18. 5. 2007
We had confirmed or appearance at one of the biggest local metal events, Metal Mania Open Air 2007, happening in Komen, Slovenia. MMOA is an annual 2 day metal music festival, hosting most of the bands of the local scene as well as many performers from abroad. More info here.

Dekadent's Dissident Dream goes to the Venice Biennale 2007 / 14. 5. 2007
Our video for "Dissident Dream" has been chosen among other 15 works to represent the history of Slovenian modern video. The video will be a part of compilation, which will be presented at the special pavilion, built for this very occasion.
It is a true honour for us to be a part of this year's Biennale, definitely one of the biggest exhibitions of modern art, being held at the beautiful Giardini di Castello since 1895.

Artur performing at Noctiferia's 10th Live Anniversary / 4. 5. 2007
On 10th of may, local extreme metal pioneers and Artur's former band-mates - Noctiferia, will celebrate their 10th Anniversary since their first official gig. Noctiferia will cover most of their songs throughout their history, as well as the songs from the Per Aspera album, on which Artur was fully participating as the singer/lyricist, as a guitarist and as well as the keyboard-player. He will be the guest of honour, performing a few songs from Per Aspera album. More info about the event here.

Show in Maribor confirmed / 23. 4. 2007
We will begin our Springtime appearances in Lower Styrian Capital - Maribor. The show is scheduled for 12th of May in the club venue of MC Pekarna with fellow Black Metallers "Ivje" as our support onstage. A local supporting act "Voice of the Soul" will be the first to hit the stage on this month's "Metal Attack Event".
